Lead Pastor

Rev Katrina Lambert was inducted as Lead Pastor in February 2024. She has previously held pastoral positions at NewHope and Albert Park Baptist Churches. She entered into pastoral ministry after a career in Management Consulting at several global consulting companies in Australia and the UK.

She has a particular passion for theological education and was appointed by the Baptist Union to the University of Divinity Council where she has served for 6 years. Katrina has been on Whitley Council for 6 years and is currently the Chair.

Katrina is married to Christopher. She enjoys art, poetry and sewing. After years of measuring her life in 6-minute increments, Katrina loves that all of the good things about her life - like love and grace and hope - are immeasurable.

Sharyn White

Associate Pastor

Sharyn joined the pastoral team at Ashburton Baptist Church in February 2021. Sharyn was 13 years old when she and her family were introduced to Jesus and over the following years helped to plant two new churches before she joined the team at Werribee Baptist Church where she was on staff for 10 years.

Sharyn is passionate about the local church and enjoys creating inclusive and welcoming environments and facilitating connections between the church and local community. She has completed a Bachelor of Theology and is currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Divinity as part of her Ordination studies. Sharyn is married to Scott, and they have three children.

Elisa
Elisa Mijares
Children's Ministry

Elisa's journey with Ashburton Baptist Church began when she joined the children’s ministry in 2023. In 2024, she has also taken on the role of youth group coordinator. Originally from Butuan, Philippines, she moved to Australia at the age of 10, settling in Loch Sport, Gippsland, where she actively participated in running Sunday School programs with her family.

She is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Teaching (Secondary) at Deakin University, Elisa is passionate about music and shaping young minds. She occasionally joins the worship team with her guitar and voice.
