Who We Are

We are people on a journey of discovery. We are followers of Jesus seeking to learn more about what that means in our lives. Our 'Welcome Statement' sums up our beliefs and priorities:

“We welcome all people irrespective of race, religion, political views, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, employment status, ability or age to share the journey of faith, with Jesus Christ as our model and the Spirit of God as our guide, towards a deepening response to God and caring relationships with others, ourselves and the created world.”

Our church community is open to discussion of difficult faith issues. Our mission centres around Micah 6:8: "act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God." This is the major focus for all our ministries.

We are an open ‘evangelical’ church in theology with a concern for the poor, the marginalised and suffering in the world community. We are affiliated with the Baptist Union of Victoria but we are also a self-governing faith community. All key decisions are made by our members in church meetings.
